Meet Ryan! One of our 100% Hong Konger tour guides. Those who have been on a Hong Kong tour with him would say they love his happy spirit. Ryan is a very hardworking and enthusiastic guide, a true pleasure to spend a day with.
In fact, Ryan is so hardworking that he did not have any travel vacations outside Hong Kong for over 3 years. Yes, he loves Hong Kong that much!
When Corona hit China and we lost of all of our bookings (before travel bans) Ryan made use of his free time to visit his relatives and loved ones in the US. Ryan mentioned he initially planned to stay in the US for only 2 weeks but because of flight cancellations, he decided to stay a little bit longer. He spent most of his vacation hiking and exploring with his relatives. A well-deserved rest for Ryan.
Now that he is back in Hong Kong what keeps him busy? Below is our short interview with Ryan.

On a normal day, you are usually out on the streets showing our guests the beauty of Hong Kong. Given the travel restrictions imposed by several countries. How are you spending your time now?
I was planning to go hiking but the government advised us to stay home. I have nothing to do at home except tidy up so now I seem like a clean freak!

When this Pandemic is finally over, and you can go anywhere where will your wanderlust take you and why?
I think Wuhan because the Virus was first found at Wuhan. But I’ll have to make sure it is safe first!
After the world comes out of this dark time and that everyone can travel to Hong Kong again what is the first thing or place you are most excited about showing our guests and why?
A large crowded Chinese restaurant, Dim Sum I think. I miss those times where we didn’t have to worry about anything and we could enjoy the bustling atmosphere. I can’t wait to get back to that again.
