Hong Kong Arrival Requirements

Requirements to enter Hong Kong include:

  • A negative RAT result taken within 24 hours or an RT-PCR test result conducted within 48 hours of boarding is mandated.

  • Hong Kong residents do not need to be fully vaccinated to enter the city. Non-Hong Kong residents aged 12 or above are required to be fully vaccinated and show recognised vaccination records or obtain a medical exemption certificate.

  • Upon arrival, a PCR test will no longer be conducted at the airport

  • The Government recommends all inbound persons to conduct daily RATs using self-arranged rapid antigen test (RAT) kits during the period between the day of arrival (i.e. Day 0) and Day 5 after arrival at Hong Kong

What to do after arrival?

Congratulations and welcome to Hong Kong! but before you are able to get out of the city and enjoy the beauty it has to offer, you will still have to go through the normal immigration process.

You are required to wear a mask in public spaces, including public transport unless you are in a country park or are conducting strenuous physical activity. If everything went smoothly, voila! you are now free to take your personal ride from the airport to the city.

What happened if you tested positive after your arrival? You will need to report you are positive results to the government website where officials will assist you in transferring to the medical facility where you will be attended to and given the right medical attention.

Move freely and enjoy the city

Can you move freely now that you are in Hong Kong? the answer is YES! although wearing a facemask is still mandatory, you will no longer be required to scan your vaccine pass on your LeaveHomeSafe app when entering restaurants or any establishment within the city.

You can visit Disneyland, Tsim Sha Tsui, Ocean park, or where ever place that you have been dreaming of visiting. If you have no idea what to do whilst, in the city, you can also book a private customized tour with the Hello! Hong Kong team to help you to navigate the city and visit places that people do not normally visit.
